Phase change materials (PCMs) use latent heat of phase to store heat, which has the advantages high energy storage density and low-temperature fluctuation. And it can be applied many fields such as building envelope Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) system. The PCM is a kind material with great potential, positively impacts conservation indoor environment improvement. In this paper, relevant research on PCMs in recent years reviewed, three common classification methods are summarized, temperature range re-divided. less than 80°C for PCMs, between 200°C medium-temperature above high-temperature PCMs. Then, characteristics thermal properties some commonly used listed, including organic inorganic composite (CPCMs).
